Phys.ed Essay/Dance

My influences are my dance teacher’s. They teach me all I know about dance. We would not have a dance school if we did not have the teacher’s.

I do like to practice dancing. Like when I do my dance class I get exercise and at the same time I am meeting people and making friends.

I started dancing at the age of to two(2). The first dance class I took was Baley and then when I was six(6) I toke Highland. Now I take Musical Theater.

I sureĀ  love to dance especially.

    Hello Mia,
My name is Mrs Kane and I teach Year 6 in Australia.
Dance is often underestimated when it comes to the physical stength and agility needed to be successful in this sport. Talented dancers make itl look so easy.
I also like your choice of painting…I think it is a Degas isn’t it…one of my favourite artisits.

Keep up the good work with your writing too!

    Good morning Mia,
I think that Mrs. Kane is right and this is a painting by Degas. To find out if this is true you could return to WikiMedia Commons and check out the information.
Mrs. Kane’s comment gives me an idea for one of your free choice projects. Since you love dancing and have an eye for beautiful artwork, then perhaps you could do a series about artists who depict dancers.

    Hi Mia
I found your blog because you put a comment on my nephew’s blog, and I looked you up. My nephew is James, he is a grade 6 student in Australia. I am also a student, I am studying textile design at university.
I studied ballet when I was your age, but not because I liked it. I learnt ballet because my mum always wanted to be a ballet dancer. I also had piano lessons because my parents wanted my to be able to make music. I was never very good at either.
Now I am studying weaving because I love it. My favorite form of weaving is tapestry weaving. You can look it up on Wikipedia. It is really great to do something you really enjoy. Its great that you get so much pleasure from dancing.
I think it is really cool that you have a blog. When I was in primary school we had a few computers, but we couldn’t really use them for very much. The internet wasn’t invented then, so we couldn’t write emails, or look things up on Wikipedia or Google.
Keep up the dancing and keep up the blogging!
    Liz
